Upcoming sessions for IP students

2 valuable sessions for students interested in careers in intellectual property are on the Moritz calendar in the next week.

First, on Wednesday, 2/3, information on the 2010 Loyola Patent Interview Program, a very important opportunity, will be provided by two students who attended the program last year and by a Moritz alum who is now in IP practice with a Columbus firm. We will cover specific logistics of registering for the program and bidding for interview slots as well as more general guidance about what interviewers will be looking for and how to narrow down the employers in which you may be interested. The session will take place shortly after noon in room 351.

Second, on Monday, 2/8, John White, Director of Patent Professional Development at PLI, will speak and answer questions about IP practice in general, how to enter the field, necessary qualifications for individuals who are interested in this field, the patent bar exam, where the jobs are, salary, etc. Mr. White designed and instructs for the PLI Patent Bar Review Course. This session will begin a few minutes after noon in room 251.
