Whether you have already secured a work-study position or are still looking, you need to be familiar with the process once you have the offer. Moritz’s work-study options have expanded significantly for the upcoming work-study year, which begins once the school year ends, so continue checking Symplicity regularly in the next weeks for new postings.
If you already have a position lined up, or when you do so in the future, you need to follow these steps to complete your employment:
1. After notification that you are approved for work-study eligibity, which will via e-mail from the OSU Financial Aid Office, you must accept the award on line.
2. When you have a job offer, go to the work-study web site (http://sfa.osu.edu/jobs/), do a search for the position you have been hired into and print off the referral form.
3. Secure your hiring supervisor’s signature on the form.
4. Meet with your Renatta Laney (Drinko 220H) to complete forms and get details relating to time sheets, deadlines, and pay schedules. If you are going to be working in Moritz’s library, your meeting should be with Vicki Payne instead.
